Milam County is considered an agriculture community where families have room to prosper and grow. Here there is an abundance of natural resources for hunting, fishing, farming, ranching, and more. It is situated within minutes of several major cities – Temple, Waco, College Station/Bryan and Austin. I was raised on a family farm northwest of Cameron, where they raised quarter horses, cattle, hay and wheat. They were one of the first farmers in Central Texas to plant Tifton 85 Bermuda Grass. I love anything that’s outdoors, football games, cooking, going to the movies with friends and spending time with my Grandchildren.
